At the end of April, the U.S. Senate passed the Drinking Water & Wastewater Infrastructure Act of 2021, but since then, there has not been much movement on Capitol Hill regarding infrastructure funding. The National Association of Clean Water Agencies Legislative Affairs Director Jason Isakovic talks about the status of that bill and companion bills working their way through the U.S. House of Representatives.
There are many bills making their rounds through Congress, but Isakovic touches on a couple that appear the most promising and also highlights some passed bills that align with NACWA’s mission and goals. He talks about what to expect with The American Jobs Plan, the importance of talking to one’s Congressional representatives and what to expect for the remainder of 2021 before another election cycle kicks off in earnest.
